The head of US diplomacy, Antony Blinken, said on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine was a “strategic failure”.
“(Vladimir Putin’s) offensive war was a strategic failure, which would significantly reduce Russia’s military, economic and diplomatic power and influence for years to come”said Antony Blinken in Finland’s capital on Friday.
Antony Blinken also justified the continuation of Western support for Ukraine, saying that strengthening the country invaded by Russia last year is a “precondition” for “true peace”.
On the other hand, at a time of negotiations, the US Secretary of State rejected the idea of a ceasefire in “the current frontline positions”, insisting that it would take control of Russian President Vladimir Putin and would allowing him to “attack again”.
