At least three dead and 26 wounded in Russian airstrike

At least three people were killed and 26 wounded in a Russian rocket and drone airstrike that took place overnight on residential areas in the Odessa region of southern Ukraine, Ukrainian official sources said.

The Odessa Regional Military Administration denounced attacks carried out by Shahed-136 and Shahed-131 kamikaze drones.

Despite the fact that the area’s air defense destroyed the artifacts, the fragments ended up crashing into a residential building in the region, which caused a fire, now controlled.

Among the injured there are three children, with a poor prognosis, according to a provisional assessment of the administration, collected by the Ukrainian portal Real Gazeta.

Meanwhile, the leader of Crimea, Serguei Axionov, assured that Russian anti-aircraft systems shot down this SS ballistic missile launched by Ukraine on the annexed peninsula.

“In the morning, the air defense forces shot down two Ukrainian Grom-2 ballistic missiles,” he wrote on the Telegram channel.

He explained that there were no victims after the attack.

In recent weeks, local authorities have reported several massive drone and missile attacks against the peninsula annexed by Russia in 2014.

One of the main targets of the enemy is the base of the Black Sea Fleet, in the city of Sevastopol, which had to reinforce the protection by land, sea and air.
