The visit of the Canadian delegation comes as Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, redoubles his efforts to mitigate the effects of the flooding caused by the Kakhovka dam breach and when Kiev has still not confirmed whether it is a counter-offensive started against reconquering the occupied territory.
The Canadian leader’s visit coincides with the crisis caused by hundreds of devastating wildfires that have broken out in his country in recent days.
