Toyota has just introduced the second generation of its C-HR. A highly anticipated small urban SUV, given the significant success of the first since its launch in 2016.
This is the case in France in particular, where this model represents the second best seller in the range behind the Yaris (and the Yaris Cross SUV since the arrival of this variation in 2021), side by side with the Corolla.
On the design side, the change is striking, with the front of the bZ4X, its first 100% electric vehicle, or the latest Prius. However, the C-HR retains its compact size well, at 4.36 meters long.
Also highlight the new two-tone bodywork, which brings this C-HR closer to another recent Toyota model: the Aygo X.
Many changes also under the hood. Toyota retains the non-rechargeable hybrid versions (with the 98bhp 1.8-liter petrol or 152bhp 2-liter, respectively 140 and 198bhp by adding the electric motor), but adds a plug-in hybrid version.
A version that takes the 2-liter engine, but adds a more efficient electric motor, for a cumulative output of 223 horsepower. A version that will also allow you to drive for longer in 100% electric mode, although Toyota has not yet given the size of the battery or the autonomy in zero emissions.
The interior is also much more modern, with an 8-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen depending on trim level.
Toyota also met en avant une ambiance intérieure hautement personnalisable with a palette of 64 colors, with the possibility of seeing the luminosité varier selon son choix, mais aussi automatically selon l’heure de la journée, with des couleurs plus intenses le matin et plus relaxantes the night.
In terms of technology, this C-HR will have numerous driving assistants and the possibility for the driver to manage the parking of the vehicle from the outside.
Another cool feature, a “digital key”: in other words, only your smartphone can be used as a vehicle key, just like in Tesla.
