Holiday departures: 941 km of traffic jams at noon, very slow traffic on the A7 and A10

Traffic is especially complicated on the A7, where this Saturday at noon, the first day of school holidays, there were more than one hundred kilometers of traffic jams.

Bison Smart had warned: the organization saw red for part of France this Saturday, on the occasion of the first day of school holidays. At noon there was a peak of 941 kilometers of traffic jams on the national network. Friday, at the end of the day, up to 926 kilometers of decelerations had already been identified.

Traffic is especially complicated this Saturday noon on the main roads. At 12:30 p.m., Bison futé noted almost 120 kilometers of traffic jams on the A7 motorway that connects Lyon with Marseille, about 80 kilometers on the A10 between Paris and Bordeaux and more than 50 kilometers on the A9 between Orange and Le Perthus.

Multiple routes to avoid

This Saturday, Bison futé recommends avoiding the A31 motorway between Nancy and Luxembourg until 3:00 p.m., avoiding the A11 motorway between Le Mans and Nantes until 2:00 p.m., avoiding the A63 motorway between Bayonne and Spain until 2:00 p.m. and finally avoiding the motorway A7 between Lyon and Orange until 6 pm.

This complicated situation on the roads occurs when a strike notice was presented by the CGT Vinci on the highways of southern France, for this weekend, but also the weekend of July 14 and the last weekend of July. A renewable movement also started on Friday on the Estérel-Côte d’Azur motorways.
