New rise in the price of diesel. The most consumed fuel in France was sold on average last week at 1.8346 euros per liter, 2.8 cents more than the previous week, according to the statement from the Ministry of Ecological Transition published this Monday, with figures stopped last Friday.
An increase of almost 3 cents for diesel
For its part, gasoline stabilized, with a rise of 0.1 cents for 95-E10 unleaded, at 1.8963 euros per liter on average.
Therefore, the rise in diesel continues. Compared to its average price at the beginning of July, of 1.6658 euros per liter, the average price has risen 16.88 cents in a month.
If we look at gasoline, the progression also continues to be important. The increase is 10.68 cents if its price registered at the beginning of July is also taken.
A context of ascent
In the midst of inflation, it is enough to increase the family budget dedicated to these fuel expenses.
At the same time, a barrel of North Sea Brent rose $2.6 last week to $87.7.
The context remains positive, particularly after the recent decisions by the main producing countries, Saudi Arabia and Russia, to reduce their production.
Another element, better prospects for global economic growth, which tends to increase the cost of black gold. Enough to encourage a trend towards higher oil prices in the coming months.
