The price of the registration document will increase in certain regions and, sometimes, very significantly, indicates an article in Les Echos.
The price of this registration certificate depends on various taxes and fees: the main one is the regional tax, so it is a variable price depending on your place of residence.
Increases of up to almost 20%
Therefore, the price of a fiscal horse will increase next year in certain regions, such as in Ile-de-France, where it will go from 46.15 to 54.95 euros, an increase of 19%. An amount that is close to the record in France, in Brittany, with a tax of 55 euros.
Normandy also increases this tax by 30%, up to 46 euros. A 10% increase is also expected in Centre-Val-de-Loire, with an amount stable for several years at €49.80.
Other regions had already increased it recently, such as Pays de la Loire, New Aquitaine, Upper France, Brittany and Occitania.
End of certain exemptions
It should be noted that in addition to these increases, certain exemptions are also disappearing. Since August 1, Ile-de-France has eliminated hybrid, LPG or E85 superethanol cars from this special regime. Only 100% electric vehicles benefit from this. Normandy will operate the same movement from January 1.
Increases necessary to maintain a certain budget balance: this tax linked to the registration document represents the third tax revenue for the regions after the local VAT quota and the tax on internal consumption of energy products (TICPE).
