A stadium and a plaque in its name: a ceremony in tribute to Alain Delon was organized on Monday, August 18, a year after the death of the actor, in Douchy-Montcorbon (Loiret), common where the star lived for several decades.
The Douchy Football Stadium, located a few hundred meters from the area where the actor rests, was called “Stade Alain Delon”, after a ceremony held in front of fifty people, including most of the officials and local elected journalists.
“It is a bit of emotion” and a day of “recognition of a man who marked the history of art and culture,” he reacted to the mayor of the Abel Martin commune, believing that the actor “transported Douchy’s image worldwide.”
Organized ceremony with Delon Children’s agreement
Described as a “resident like any other” for many, Alain Delon lived in Douchy for several decades and “led with him a bit of our land and our heart,” Abel Martin continued.
A plaque was also presented inside the stadium in honor of the actor, who had equipped in 1983 the Douchy youth soccer teams with t -shirts in his name. Located by AFP in July, the actor’s eldest son, Anthony Delon, had indicated that this tribute was organized “with the children’s agreement.”
But neither Anthony, who published an Instagram video on Monday morning from the actor’s property in Douchy, his sister Anuchka or his brother Alain-Fabien participated in the ceremony.
A 45 -minute documentary film projection Delon-YWritten around the relationship between the actor and the city, it was also scheduled early in the afternoon of the City Council.
Buried in stricter privacy
Alain Delon, legend of world cinema, was buried on August 24, 2024, a few days after his death on August 18 at the age of 88, in the strictest intimacy of the chapel of his property “La Brûlerie” acquired in 1971.
The actor rests there near his dogs, as he wanted, an exceptional procedure that required a prefecture authorization.
The day of the funeral, but also during the previous week, several hundred fans had met in front of the doors of the farm to deposit flowers and pay for a final tribute.
