After a slight increase observed seven days earlier, fuel prices fell sharply again last week, according to the latest statement from the Ministry of Energy Transition on December 8.
In detail, a liter of diesel stood at 1,747 euros last week, with a decrease of 3.6 cents. For its part, SP95-E10 fell 2 cents to 1.7685 euros per liter. Prices at the pump thus show their lowest level since mid-July.
Drop in the price of a barrel
This new drop still occurs in a context of falling oil prices. At the end of last week, a barrel of North Sea Brent was trading at $76.5, that is, $4.6 less.
Oil prices continued to fall slightly on Monday, with investors cautious ahead of a week packed with reports on monetary policy decisions from major central banks, and still concerned about the bleak global economic outlook.
Around 1:00 p.m., the price of a barrel of North Sea Brent, for delivery in February, lost 0.38%, to $75.54.
