Fuel prices started to rise slightly again last week. Diesel stood at 1.7422 euros per liter on average in France, 0.8 cents more, and unleaded 95-E10 at 1.7685 euros per liter, 0.4 cents more, according to the weekly statement from the Ministry of Ecological Transition, with prices starting Friday in December. 22.
A slight increase in barrel prices
Slight increase, since the barrel of Brent rose by 4.1 dollars to stand at 79.5 dollars, following the increase in attacks on ships in the Red Sea and maritime traffic interrupted on this important route by numerous carriers.
This slight increase leaves prices at a relatively moderate level during the last period, well below 1.80 euros per liter. Especially compared to the peak last September, with prices at the pump that later exceeded 1.94 euros per liter for the two most consumed fuels in France.
