Fuel prices rise, gasoline approaches 1.90 euros per liter

Unleaded fuel 95-E10, which has increased almost constantly since the beginning of the year, last week reached an average price of 1.8964 euros per liter. Something unheard of at the pump since October.

New rise in fuel prices. Diesel was quoted last week in France at an average of 1.7899 euros per liter, 2.5 cents more, and unleaded gasoline 95-E10, 1.89645 euros per liter, 3.2 cents more, according to the latest statement. from the Ministry of Ecological Transition on Friday, April 5.

If the price of diesel at the pump has been increasing in recent weeks, gasoline has increased almost constantly since the beginning of the year. On January 12, unleaded 95-E10 had an average price of 1.7645 euros per liter, 13 cents less than today.

In a 40 liter tank, this represents a difference of just over 5 euros between the beginning of January and today.

Among the main explanations, the rise in the price of crude oil. Last week, North Sea Brent rose by $3.9 and was trading at $89.5 a barrel.

Prices are trending upward in the context of tensions in the Middle East, which raise fears about the supply of black gold.
