As Assumption Thursday is a public holiday, traffic on the roads is expected to be heavy from Wednesday onwards. Bison Futé has thus classified a large part of north-west France in orange for the departures on 14 August.
Heavy traffic is expected on the A13, A10 and A1
“On Wednesday 14 August, the majority of the problems are expected to affect the routes serving the Far West and the North of the country (A13, A10 and A1),” the traffic forecast service said.
Please note that if Most Olympic lanes are closed before the start of the Paralympic Games. The A1 will remain active without interruption until September 11 in the Paris region.
Bison Futé’s advice for Wednesday, August 14th, as you head out:

Back to green on Thursday before a very complicated weekend
French roads will be back in full green this August 15, a public holiday.
“Traffic should be fairly fluid across the national road network,” predicts Bison Futé.
Friday, August 16 will be more complicated in terms of returns. The day is classified as orange nationwide and red in the southeast.
A sample of this weekend of intense crossing, with Saturday and Sunday classified in red heading into the laps.
On Saturday, August 17, the day is even classified as black in a large quarter of the Northwest and a significant wave of returns will continue on Sunday, and to a lesser extent, on Monday.
In fact, quite unusually, the day of Monday, August 19 is classified as orange in the sense of results at the national level by Bison Futé.
