Third consecutive week of decline in diesel at the pump. According to the latest weekly price survey by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, a liter of diesel was traded last week in France at an average of 1.8319 euros. That is a decrease of 3.6 cents compared to the previous week.
For a month, the liter of diesel has lost almost 10 cents on average, going from 1.9211 euros on October 14 to 1.8319 euros last week. However, the latter is still much more expensive than unleaded at the pump.
Gasoline prices on the rise
Motorists who drive on gasoline will be less fortunate. A liter of unleaded 95-E10 rose 1.7 cents last week. The liter reaches an average of 1.6222 euros in French service stations. After a drop in recent weeks, the price of gasoline has risen again.
This rise notably follows the price of a barrel. Last week, the barrel of Brent flirted with 100 dollars again. Please note that this week is the last full week in France to benefit from the 30 cent government discount (50 cent when combined with TotalEnergies). Indeed, this aid will fall on November 15, falling to 10 cents like that of the oil giant.
