After cinema, Orelsan returns to his first love: music. While your movie Yoroidirected and co-written by David Tomaszewski, hits theaters this Wednesday, October 29, the rapper from Caen has just announced the release of his new album, The flight forwardfor November 7th.
Although fans of the artist will be able to find on this album four of the unreleased songs he wrote for the feature film, the rapper assures that this album “is not the soundtrack of Yoroi“.
“It’s really a new album,” he says in a video posted on Instagram. “You can totally listen to it without having seen the movie.”
“But if you’ve seen the film, it’s great because (…) there is a total link with ‘Yoroï’. The themes of the pieces are linked to the story. Sometimes they are extensions of the story, as if they were scenes…”, he adds.

On Instagram, Orelsan also revealed the names of the guests who will be present on this 17-track album. In particular, we will find the singer Lilas from the Japanese group Yoasobi, the artist Yamê, the K-pop group Fifty Fifty, the rapper SDM but also Thomas Bangalter, DJ and former member of the famous electro duo Daft Punk.
Pre-orders to buy The flight forward in preview begins on Tuesday, October 28 at 6 pm Orelsan will thus be able to defend this new project, the first since Civilization in 2023, during their future tour, announced at the end of September.
This concert series, for which more than 300,000 tickets were sold in 24 hours, is due to begin in Caen in January before ending in December 2026 with ten shows in a row at the Accor Arena in Paris.
