In fact, the Geneva Cantonal Vehicle Office (OCV) put license plates with “original” numbering on sale at the end of November. And this operation reached a new financial record, according to local media Radio Lac.
Total profit of 128,630 euros for 19 plates
The “GE – 55555” plate was won for the modest sum of 48,000 Swiss francs, that is, just over 51,450 euros. A number composed of five figures 5 obviously very popular because the initial bet was “only” 10,000 Swiss francs (10,720 euros).
In total, 19 plates were put up for sale, with a total profit estimated at 120,000 Swiss francs, approximately 128,630 euros.
