Volvo has an advertising (car without car) eliminated by AI

The Swedish brand has been eliminated a place stained from its social networks to celebrate its return to Saudi Arabia and generated by artificial intelligence.

Beautiful images with an “inspiring” text read in English on a music background in the piano … an advertising a priori classic, but that was actually completely designed thanks to artificial intelligence.

There is no car, as in Jaguar?

This 54 -second place celebrates the return of Volvo to Saudi Arabia. The video was no longer available on Volvo’s social networks, but Carscoops’s specialized site shared it on his YouTube account.

In fact, a detail may seem disturbing: no car appears in this clip. However, it is not so surprising at a time when this object can appear as a symbol of an old world. And, therefore, a page to turn … even for a car manufacturer.

A recipe recently applied by Jaguar, with its clip “copy anything” in which we find mannequins in the clothes and in an ultra colorful decoration, all in an electro music loop, but without car. A strategy assumed by the British brand that was mainly sought to prepare the spirits for a deep incarnate identity change a few weeks later by a daring prototype.

Too much energy -Consumo for Volvo?

But difficult to understand this Volvo investment. A brand spokesman in the United States simply confirmed to the Jalopnik site the abolition of this announcement, specifying “that it was a local initiative, not according to the global directives of Volvo cars.”

The hypothesis formulated in the article, but not confirmed by Volvo: the use of AI, accused of being an ecological abyss, would not be in line with the desire of the mark of drastically reducing its CO2 emissions, through the sale of electric cars and with less polluting production.

On the YouTube page of Volvo Cars Ksa (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), it activates since February 28, we no longer find this famous clip, but another “return electrified” that takes certain images of that elimination, but this time with the cars that open and conclude the place. However, this is not the case in second place online, “it becomes greener”, with cloud plans, a forest, but a good path in the middle of a desert for the reference to the automotive universe.

A “proud” agency of its creation

We found the original clip on the Lion Instagram page, the Dubai headquarters communication agency that has done so, welcoming itself at the origin of this creation:

“Lion proudly presents the first place of advertising generated by AI for Volvo cars in Saudi Arabia to mark its great return to the kingdom with Electromin (the exclusive local distributor of Volvo, note of the editor),” says the text that accompanies the place.

There are examples of indicators (the indications given to AI to ask you to generate content to give) through the services offered by Midjourney, Runway or Luma. Which also widely accelerated the time required to make a clip of this type that would happen from several months to only a few weeks.
