The French automotive market fell 8% during the first six months of the year, but some models still withdraw from the game by positioning themselves at the top of sales.
In the upper part of the classification of the best sales models from January to June 2025, we find the Renault Clio. The Versatile Diamond City Car has the advantage of being marketed in gasoline, diesel, LPG, but also hybrid. A motorization that now represents more than one in two sale in France.
The Peugeot 208 distant
How far is Peugeot 208, its eternal rival, with a gap of almost 17,000 units between the two models in these first six months of the year. The 100% electric version of 208, fifth best sales in zero broadcast, represents less than 15% of total sales.
The Dacia Sandero completes the podium, a sign of the good form of the Renault group, which increases at the beginning of the year in a very diminished market.
The Citroën C3 is in fourth place, with a second better sale of 100% electric version in the category, which represents 30% of the sales of this model.
The entire Top 10 is dominated by French brand vehicles, with Peugeot, which also places its 2008 and 3008 and Renault its capture and Symbioz. However, with two exceptions: the Dacia Duster, but the Romanian brand belongs to the Renault group and the Toyota Yaris Cross, but which is assembled in the Valenciennes factory and was still the most produced vehicle in France last year.
