Be careful if you hit the road this Friday in Ile-de-France. Bison Futé classified this day as orange in the sense of departures, on the eve of the Christmas holidays. The rest of the weekend has a green rating across the country.
An Orange Friday in Ile-de-France
Bison Futé advises “to leave or cross Ile-de-France and the main cities before 2:00 p.m.”. Holiday outings will thus double with weekend outings, but also with Christmas races, a week before the holidays.
“During the entire period, due to Christmas shopping, the axes that serve the commercial areas will experience intense traffic, the same is the case with the commercial sectors of large cities,” specifies Bison Futé in its press release. The weather will also be milder this Friday, and sunshine is expected in much of the country.
A Green Rated Weekend
Outside business districts, traffic is graded green across the country, on Saturdays and Sundays, both in the outbound and inbound directions. Traffic will be heavier the following weekend, Christmas weekend, in particular a Friday classified red in Ile-de-France in the direction of departures.
