The new comedy by Philippe Lacheau, adapted from Marsupilami created by André Franquin in 1952 in Spirou and Fantasiounveils the posters of its characters this Wednesday. The first poster was unveiled on July 24.
As for the cast, we find in particular Philippe Lacheau himself, Jamel Debbouze, Tarek Boudali, Élodie Fontan, Julien Arruti, Alban Ivanov, Corentin Guillot, Jean Reno and Reem Kherici. Jamel Debbouze, who had already played in On the way to Marsupilami by Alain Chabat, released in 2012, he reprises his role as Pablito Camarón.
With an attractive budget of 29 million euros, this film produced by Pathé will tell the story of David (Philippe Lacheau), who accepts a very dubious plan to save his job: bringing a curious package from South America. He then finds himself on board a cruise ship with his ex-girlfriend Tess (Elodie Fontan), her son Léo (Corentin Guillot) and his colleague Stéphane (Julien Arruti), as naive as he is clumsy, whom David uses to transport the package for him. The matter turns into chaos when the latter accidentally opens it and discovers a baby marsupilami inside.
Filming began on July 23, 2024 in Thailand and concluded on November 6 of the same year, with 62 days of filming. After a long post-production, the family comedy will hit theaters on February 4, 2026, coinciding with the same date, or almost, as another highly anticipated comedy, God save the tuche by Jean-Paul Rouve, released in 2025.
