Electric car sales continue to grow. With 202,121 units, these models represented 13.3% of the new home market in France in 2022, up from just under 10% in 2021.
In the top three of the best-selling models last year we find the Peugeot e-208 (19,222 units), the Dacia Spring (18,326 units) and the Tesla Model 3 (17,005 units).
Right behind, we find the Mégane E-Tech, which Renault has chosen to market only in a 100% electric version, but continuing to sell the previous generation Mégane in thermal and rechargeable hybrid versions.
The Fiat 500 also performed well, taking fifth place in the standings, ahead of direct competitors, the Renault Twingo and Zoé.
The Tesla Model Y occupies eighth place, taking advantage of a sharp drop in prices to the detriment of the Model 3. Although the American brand wants to boost sales of this new model, the SUV has been cheaper than the saloon for a few months. .
