While most automakers are struggling to find a path to growth again this year, Alpine is an exception. According to the latest registration count recorded since January in the European market by Acea, the small thumb of the Renault group is by far the most efficient.
In the first eight months of the year, 2,068 alpine keys were returned to their owners, compared to 1,276 last year in the same period, which represents a growth of 62.1%. In the EU market alone, the increase is even higher, reaching 74.4%.
Also growing, Dacia and DS are far behind
Far away are Dacia and DS, the two brands that, according to data published by Acea, are advancing the most after Alpine. The former Citroën flagship, which has become a brand in its own right, recorded growth of 15.3% in the entire European market and 11.5% in EU countries alone. As for the low-cost champion of the Renault group, it does slightly better (+17.3% all countries combined and +14.8% within the EU).
