More frequent oversights on weekends
We also note that it is the weekend that most of the objects are claimed from the Uber drivers, from Friday to Sunday, more frequently between 9 am and 11 am The consequence, perhaps, of a somewhat hectic evening…
Among the specific days on which the most objects were claimed: Sunday, September 4, 2022 (probably the stress of the start of the school year), Saturday, December 17 (purchases for end-of-year celebrations can cause vertigo) and on Saturday November 12 (the day after the holiday November 11 we find no other rational explanations…). January 1st is also one of the days with the most requested items, with the day after New Year’s Eve sometimes being a bit difficult for some.
What to do in case of forgetfulness?
Uber takes the opportunity to remind you of the procedure to follow in case of forgetting an object in a VTC. The easiest way is to contact the driver:
● Open your Uber app and click on the 3 lines at the top left.
● Go to the “your races” tab and select the race in question.
● Click on “I lost something” and then on “Contact my driver about a forgotten item”.
● Enter a phone number where you can be reached immediately (yours or a friend’s) and click “Send”
● The system will call you immediately on this number and put you in contact, anonymously, with your driver.
○ If the driver responds and confirms that they did indeed find your item, they can arrange a mutually convenient location and time to pick up your item.
○ If the driver does not respond, please leave a detailed voice message describing your purpose and the best way to contact them later.
