The revolution of the new 3008 begins inside. Peugeot has just revealed the first images of the interior of the next generation of its star SUV. A model that will be released in September with a change to 100% electric, a new e-3008 and hybrid or micro-hybrid versions, according to elargus.
We discover an interior that brings together the screen counters and the touchpad in the center of the dashboard. This is embodied in a large curved slab, 21 inches diagonally, like the one found on the latest BMW models.
A screen that levitates
Peugeot insists on the “floating effect” of this screen, “fixed by a rear foot invisible from the passenger compartment” and “truly levitating above the dashboard”, all “accentuated by specific ambient lighting located under the screen”.
The screen is completed with “i-toogles”, a touchpad with customizable direct access buttons inaugurated in the latest Peugeot 308.

Also on the programme, a new steering wheel with buttons with tactile feedback effects. Keys that “automatically detect the driver’s fingers but only trigger if the driver presses, to prevent false maneuvers.”
The control of the automatic gearbox (the passage from P to D, R, N) comes out of the center console to free up space there. It is located to the right of the steering wheel on the dashboard, between the start/stop button and touch shortcuts.
With the success of its predecessor, there is no doubt that this new 3008 will receive special scrutiny when it is presented next September, probably at the Munich Motor Show, with an expected start of sales in early 2024.
This SUV will be the first Peugeot model to be equipped with the new Stellantis STLA Medium platform.
