This year marks the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. For the occasion, Alpine has chosen to celebrate this mythical race with a limited edition of its sports sedan, the A110 R Le Mans.
“The A110 R Le Mans embodies competition: 300 hp engine, 1082 kg of weight for an acceleration of 3.9 seconds (0-100 km/h) and a maximum speed of 285 km/h on the circuit, with a setting ‘Hunaudières’ patented for greater stability on the track”, highlights the press release of the French brand.
On the appearance side: a new white and blue livery, in homage to the emblematic colors of Le Mans. Inside, there is a small numbered plate from the Dieppe factory with the official signature of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, to distinguish the 100 examples of this version of the A110 R.
Orders will open on Thursday June 8, 2 days before the start of the race at Le Mans. The price was announced at 140,000 euros, or 30,000 euros more than an A110 R.
A way of reconnecting with the history of the brand, which it had won with the A442 in 1978. But also with its present: “Alpine is gaining momentum in resistance with Signatech in LMP2 and then in LMP1, and is decidedly planning towards the future addressing the new category Hypercar LMDh in 2024”, recalls the press release.
