The highway company Sanef announced on Monday a discount for its subscribers this summer, following in the footsteps of its colleagues APRR-AREA and Vinci Autoroutes after a call from the Delegate Minister of Transport, Clément Beaune, to grant “a summer discount” to motorists.
Sanef (Abertis group) is going to offer a 50% discount to its customers subscribed to the electronic toll collection Bip&Go “Liber-t vacances” -a formula that allows, in particular, to use their holiday vouchers for the toll- on their journeys by its network, in northern and eastern France, on a chosen date between July 1 and August 31, according to a press release.
A matching contribution of 25% with Eiffage, 20% with Vinci Autoroutes
The APRR-AREA (Eiffage) toll roads have already announced a 25% match on the amount of vacation vouchers paid in the electronic tolls of their subscribers. Vinci Autoroutes, which manages a wide network in the west and south of the country, for its part, indicated that it was going to recharge the amounts paid in vacation checks by 20% to supply the electronic toll accounts of its subscribers between June 15 and July 31, from 20 to 250 euros.
On June 7, the Delegate Minister for Transport, Clément Beaune, urged motorway companies to grant “a discount” to motorists during the summer holidays, at least equivalent to the 10% granted last year to those who paid with vacation checks.
