Bruno Le Maire addressed first of all the merchants, restaurateurs and managers of tobacconists and bank branches who suffered “completely unacceptable looting throughout the territory”.

The time has come to take stock: at least a dozen shopping centers, 200 large retail chains, 250 tobacconists, 250 bank branches as well as many fashion, sportswear and fast food chains have been looted, ransacked or even completely burned. since Tuesday. .

Bruno Le Maire described these acts as “inexcusable, indescribable and intolerable” and reaffirmed his desire to restore order. “There is no nation without order,” he declared while recalling that the priority continues to be the security of goods and people. Discussions are already underway with the Home Office and the Keeper of Seals on the matter.

Security, compensation, assistance

As regards insurance: all victims are required to make their declaration of loss or operational loss as soon as possible, with the possibility of additional delays. The insurers undertake for their part to reduce the time for compensation but also to the maximum amount of the deductibles on insurance compensation. Finally, the ministers called on banks to show the greatest understanding of bank terms.

The latest measure concerns the mobilization of crisis resolution advisers, whose contacts are easily identifiable on the impots.gouv.fr website. These advisors, present in all departments, are responsible for individually supporting companies in difficulty and seeking information.
