The Consulate General of China in Marseille has just protested to the French authorities after the attack, this Thursday in the city of Marseille, on a bus carrying Chinese tourists. Some were reportedly slightly injured by broken glass, China’s consular affairs office said on Sunday.
A call for the safety of Chinese citizens
In its statement, the Consulate General calls on France to guarantee the safety of Chinese citizens and their property.
According to the public television channel CCTV, the bus was attacked by individuals in the context of the violence that has been experienced in recent days throughout France after the death of the teenager Nahel, shot dead by police in the suburbs of Paris ( Nanterre). Chinese citizens present in France or intending to go there should be more vigilant, the Chinese consular office adds in its press release.
