Paris-Beauvais airport: a notice of strike filed for Tuesday and Thursday

A strike notice was filed at the end of September. It could disrupt air traffic next week, although a discussion between the unions and the company that runs the airport is scheduled for Monday.

New air traffic disruptions in the offing? A strike notice was presented on September 26 by the CFDT and Unsa for Tuesday, October 4 and Thursday, October 6, reveals this Sunday the parisian.

However, a meeting between the unions and the management of the Beauvais airport management and operation company (Sageb) is scheduled for Monday. The goal: resolve the conflict before the strike becomes effective and potentially paralyzes traffic at this airport, which employs 233 people.

Mainly salary claims.

Why this new strike? The issue for employees relates to the 2019 profit-sharing agreement. While a profit distribution was planned, “management unilaterally changed the envelope” and paid less than expected, according to Mark Slio.

The other points of claim are of a salary nature. They refer to the payment of a Macron bonus amounting to 2,400 euros and a 10% salary increase due to inflation.

Will an agreement be reached by Tuesday to avoid a strike? Nothing sure. “We are mobilized to try to avoid this movement,” says Sageb’s commercial director, however.
