In line with other Western leaders, the French head of state condemned Vladimir Putin’s decision not to renew the agreement on the export of Ukrainian cereals.
French President Emmanuel Macron ruled on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin had made “a big mistake” in ending Moscow’s involvement in Ukraine’s grain export deal.
“He decided to make a weapon out of food (…) I think it’s a big mistake,” said Emmanuel Macron, speaking in English, after a summit in Brussels between the leading countries of the European Union and Latin America.
