Sold in August, a Sodebo ham sandwich is withdrawn from the market due to signs of salmonellosis

A batch of Sodebo brand cured ham sandwiches was withdrawn from the market after the presence of salmonellosis was detected.

They were present at supermarket stalls or at motorway rest areas… The triangular sandwiches sold during the month of August have just been the subject of a RappelConso alert this Friday, August 25.

Sold in many brands.

Specifically, it is the Le Gourmand AOP 180g upper county ham sandwich and was available for sale in supermarkets (G20, Leclerc, Super U, Monoprix, Cora, Coccinelle, Casino, Vival and Spar), service stations (Total, Elan, Eni and Avia) as well as vending machines (Freego, Qualidea and Selecta). If you have any doubts, here are the exact references:

  • GTIN: 3242272846055
  • Expiration date: 08/29/2023

If this sandwich is still well stored in your refrigerator, it is advisable to return the product to the store for a refund or simply destroy it.

Suspect the presence of salmonella.

It is likely that the latter is contaminated with salmonella and, according to Rappel Conso: “food poisoning caused by salmonella causes gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhoea, vomiting) of sudden onset, often accompanied by fever and headaches, which generally appear between 6 and 72 hours after consumption of contaminated products.

If you have consumed the product and develop symptoms, consult a doctor immediately.
