France will have spent 100,000 million euros to fight inflation between 2021 and 2023

The Minister of Economy communicated to the National Assembly the total amount of aid released by the government to combat inflation. Aid that will not be financed with tax increases, says Bruno Le Maire.

The Government will have spent 100,000 million euros to protect the French from rising prices between 2021 and 2023, French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire told the National Assembly on Monday.

The increase in prices decreased slightly in September in France to 6.2% when it increased at the European level (10%).

The tariff shield will be partially maintained in 2023 for a total cost estimated by the Bercy boss at 46,000 million euros.

The CVAE abolished in two years

An invoice that the minister does not intend to finance with tax increases. On the contrary, the government intends to seek tax cuts, particularly on companies.

the elimination of contribution on the added value of companies (CVAE), one of the taxes on production that contributes 8,000 million euros a year to public finances, must be done in two stages.

Bruno le Maire estimates that this supply policy has allowed the creation of 1.5 million jobs during the previous five years and has made it possible to recover the attractiveness of the country.
