The United States government said on Friday, October 3 that it was planning to release a commemorative currency in the image of President Donald Trump, on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the country.
The Sala, which is worth a dollar, could represent Donald Trump in profile, supervised by the word freedom in capital letters, according to sketches transmitted in the social network X, republished by the Ministry of Finance.
And, on the battery side, the president would appear by prejudice, the right fist raised in front of an American flag, surrounded by the words “fight fights” (“battle”). This is an explicit reference to his reaction after the attempt to murder that he had been subject to during the presidential campaign in July 2024.
A “first draft”
The initiative has asked questions about its legality. In the first place, the attack documents that represent people during their lives are unusual, but especially because a law that authorizes the manufacture of commemorative currency (voted under the first mandate of Donald Trump) restricts the possibility of representing people on the side of the pile.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Finance (or Treasury Secretariat) told AFP that the final appearance of the work had not yet been decided.
“This first draft reflects the struggle spirit of our country and our democracy, even in the face of immense obstacles,” he said, stating that, under Donald Trump, the country was “stronger, prosperous and better than ever.” The country celebrates the 250th anniversary of its independence next year, obtained on July 4, 1776.
