A successful step towards luxury? A year after announcing a collaboration with star chef Thierry Marx to develop a card for the TGV Inoui, the SNCF announced this Tuesday that it was renewing this agreement.
In addition to this dessert, travelers will be able to taste “vegetable dumplings as a stew, risoni pasta with squid ink risotto, carrots and chicken and a salad of lentils, cauliflower, walnuts, mushroom puree with hazelnuts.” The rösti potato burger with tomato sauce “is renewed due to its success this summer,” the operator enthuses.
Inflation has been there
In addition to the highlighted quality, the SNCF highlights that its card includes “92% of products manufactured in France, 39% of certified organic products from sustainable agriculture or High Environmental Value, 73% of products without preservatives, without artificial aromas or colors, and 43% of the products manufactured by SMEs and VSEs.
Despite everything, inflation has been there. In 2022, Thierry Marx’s menu (dish, dessert and cold drink without beer) was charged at 14.80 euros. This year it increases to 15.90 euros, an increase of 7.4%.
This starred menu always complements the more classic Snack Menu (13.10 euros) and Bocadillo (12.20 euros) whose prices do not vary. Or even takeaway options like P’tit Dej (7.10 euros) or Café Brioche (4.40 euros).
Last year, Thierry Marx explained during the presentation of this association: “The TGV Inoui Bar is for me a creator of social links, a place of life where everyone can meet and share a moment. I am very happy to be part of the parenthesis. of your trip.”
