The Government does not want to delay the adoption of the finance bill for 2024. Although it had warned that it could use it, as reported by BFM Business, Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne will use article 49.3 of the Constitution starting this Wednesday afternoon to approve the Government’s bill even before the start of debates in the chamber.
This first 49.3 refers to the first part of the PLF, that is, the income part of the budget. However, the text adopted will not be exactly the one presented to the Council of Ministers: it should incorporate several amendments from the majority and the opposition.
