Autoliv will lay off about 220 of its employees in France

Swedish auto parts maker Autoliv said Monday it plans to lay off about 220 employees at its main factories in France and relocate another 100 elsewhere, as part of workforce reductions announced around the world in June.

The measures taken in France are expected to generate savings of around $10 million (around €9.5 million) in 2024, rising to around $20 million in 2025 and around $25 million in 2026. , when they will be fully implemented, Autoliv said in a statement.

Although the 220 layoffs mainly concern general production expenses, other sectors such as sales, research and administration will also be affected, according to Autoliv.
