“In the most affected regions, reconnaissance and restoration work continues,” explains SNCF Réseau, referring to a “resumption of traffic between Friday morning and Saturday morning, depending on the sector.”
“Travelers are invited to check the operation of their trains through their usual information channels,” adds the transport company.

“Storm Ciaran has strongly affected all of Brittany in the last few hours,” says the SNCF Breton regional network, which counts nearly 300 fallen trees and branches across the entire railway network.
The network foresees “a partial resumption of TGV and TER traffic starting Friday at five in the morning.”
But traffic will remain suspended on Friday on the following lines:

- Saint-Brieuc – Brest
- Quimper-Brest
- Guingamp – Carhaix
- Guingamp – Paimpol
- Plouaret – Lannion

“Train circulation will continue to be seriously disrupted and the recovery will be very gradual from Friday, November 3,” says the SNCF.
Traffic will remain closed on the following lines:
- Gisors-Serqueux,
- Lison-Cherbourg
- Granville-Rennes.
Specifically, the company plans a gradual resumption of traffic starting on the morning of Friday, November 3 on the lines that connect Le Havre with Rouen and Rouen with Paris, as well as on the sections that connect Rouen and Dieppe, Paris and Granville, Paris and Caen.

The TGV network is still interrupted in some points
A part of the TGV network will return to normal on Friday. But some lines will remain interrupted.
“TGVs will run normally tomorrow, except between Saint-Brieux-Brest, Lorient-Quimper, Nantes-Sables d’Olonne, Arras and beyond Lille, as well as the first trains leaving Hendaye and Tarbes,” details SNCF Réseau. .
“All affected customers have been contacted and exchange and refund measures have been implemented at no cost,” the company adds.
