Casino brand prepared salads recalled due to risk of “chemical contamination”

Grated carrot, celery remoulade, mixed salad… Several prepared cold starters from the Casino brand should no longer be consumed.

This is a recall of a new product detected by Le Parisien. Several references of prepared salads of the Casino brand are subject to a recall from the market due to the risk of “chemical contamination”, indicates the government on its specific website. A descaling product was found in the water, it is specified.

This recall affects two references of grated carrot (300 g and 1 kg boxes), one reference of celery remoulade (300 g box) and one reference of mixed vegetables (300 g).

These products were marketed under the brands “Casino, Vival, Spar and Casino distribution networks”, specifies the Rappel Conso website.

A reference to the Bio Village tabbouleh is also remembered

A tabbouleh reference from the Bio Village brand, sold in 200 g boxes and distributed in E. Leclerc stores, is also being recalled. “Only products with the additional code 07 after the barcode are affected by the recall,” says Rappel Conso. This time, it is a “risk of the presence of residual contaminants” that motivates this procedure.

Consumers who have purchased one of these products should stop consuming it immediately, return the product to the point of sale or destroy it, the site indicates. They can also request a refund.
