The Minister of the Interior announced on Friday that the proposed State Budget (OE) for 2023 provides for increases of about 100 euros for new PSP agents and GNR soldiers.
“Young people competing for the PSP and GNR will be in for good surprises with this budget proposal and will have perhaps the greatest increase in access to activity they have ever seen in proportional terms, that is, in relation to what has to do with the basic pay structure,” José Luís Carneiro told journalists.
The minister argued that “the proposals on the table point to increases of the order of 100 euros for those who start the career” from the Public Security Police and the Republican National Guard.
“They have good reason to effectively recognize that the efforts that have been made and are being carried out with the aim of dedication,” he defended.
The official spoke to journalists after the presentation at the Interior Ministry in Lisbon of the emergency plan in effect at air border posts at national airports between June and September.
The government’s proposal for the state budget for 2023 will be presented to the Assembly of the Republic next Monday, October 10.
