In a statement, Sintoc said that at a meeting held last Tuesday at the request of the union, the air navigation service provider indicated that “updating the subsistence allowance depends on the inclusion of the scheme in the LR [Acordo de Empresa] general NAV, which is only possible with the agreement of all unions”.

“Nevertheless, we have proposed that the company, through a management act, update the value attributed to meals on business trips,” Sintac states, claiming to expect “common sense” on the part of NAV, “because the subsistence allowances are totally insufficient. given the current context of inflation”.

According to the union, the table of Tuesday’s meeting also included the topics of salary review for 2022, non-automatic promotions, access to steps and change of professional category in the same professional career and the start of negotiations on the proposal. the General Regulations LR Career, released in March 2019.

According to Sintac, NAV has reported in connection with these matters that “due to the cost-cutting measures (due to the pandemic) and the fact that the company has an unpaid debt, it would not be possible to negotiate this year, the negotiations on the same topics have left open for the year 2023”.
