Alstom: contract of 300 million euros in services in the United Kingdom

The French industrialist will provide technical assistance and spare parts to Govia Thameslink Railway.

The French group announces this Tuesday that it has been awarded a contract worth around 300 million euros in the United Kingdom to provide technical assistance and spare parts to Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), “one of the most important companies benefiting from a railway franchise ” in the country. Alstom has been a customer of “GTR for many years, maintaining their fleets for almost 20 years.”

Alstom will continue to manage the fleets of trains built in Derby and in service on the Southern, Gatwick Express and Great Northern networks, which serve London’s Victoria and King’s Cross stations.

“We are very pleased to have won this important services contract with our long-standing client, GTR. It is recognition of the exceptional work done by our teams across the country, and more particularly at our Brighton site as well. at the Hornsey and Selhurst depots,” said Peter Broadley, General Manager of Alstom’s UK Mainline Services.
