“We need to invest a lot more.” Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos this Wednesday, Emmanuel Macron called on the European Union to mobilize to invest in “main priorities for the future”, in particular “daring to use Eurobonds again”.
The President of the Republic also asked to “deepen the Capital Markets Union” because “our continent has a lot of savings but these savings are poorly allocated.” If the proposal does not have the unanimity of the 27, he said he was willing to “propose advancing in reinforced cooperation” with certain States “because we must move forward.”
