The American site specifies that prices for international flights begin to increase 50 days before departure. Therefore, the advice is to book between 70 and 78 days in advance to take advantage of 10% savings on average.

Interestingly, Expedia notes that based on flight tracking data for the past 12 months, departures before 3:00 p.m. (3:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) experience 60% fewer cancellations than departures earlier than the end of the day.
