About fifty people, mostly members, but also citizens sensitive to soft mobility, gathered in front of the Saint-Jean station in Bordeaux to participate in all or part of the route that crosses Périgueux, Limoges, Montluçon and Roanne in particular .
Six months of delays
The cooperative, based in Figeac (Lot), is one of the few competing projects of the SNCF that have been installed in France since the end of 2020 and the opening to competition in passenger transport, such as Le Train or Kevin Speed.
On the verge of suspending payments, Railcoop launched an urgent appeal in June to its 14,500 members to raise 500,000 euros before September 30, in order to settle salaries and pay suppliers. In the end it only raised 383,500 euros. Bankrupt since October, the courts gave him six months to find capital to guarantee the continuation of his activity.
