Storm Louis: 90,000 homes without electricity in much of northern France

Enedis declares that its employees and service providers are strongly mobilized to recover as many customers as possible as quickly as possible despite a delicate environment.

90,000. This is the number of homes without electricity “in much of northern France” after Storm Louis, Enedis told BFMTV.com. Thus, 27 departments are on orange alert due to violent winds and flooding phenomena due to rain.

Our employees and service providers are strongly mobilized to restore as many customers as possible as quickly as possible, the energy group stated. Interventions are sometimes difficult due to the uprooting of trees that fall on roads or flooded areas.

For everyone’s safety, Enedis reminds us to “never touch downed cables”, “never touch an object that is in contact with a power line”. For those who have an individual generator, the energy group advises “placing it outside the home and remembering to turn off the circuit breaker.”
