Amazon announced on Tuesday, May 14, the surprise departure of Adam Selipsky, head of its remote (cloud) computing subsidiary, Amazon Web Services (AWS). He will be replaced by Matt Garman, now head of sales and marketing at AWS, according to a statement consulted by AFP.
Adam Selipsky, formerly of Amazon and who worked at the start-up Tableau, returned to the Seattle (Washington state) group in March 2021 to take control of AWS, which has become a cloud giant.
