GDP rose 0.2% in the second quarter, revised downwards

According to INSEE, gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) “was revised downwards with the integration of turnover in services for the month of June, while household consumption was revised slightly upwards.”

The French economy grew less than expected in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, according to final figures released Friday by INSEE. According to the institute, France’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by an average of 0.2% during the April-June period (compared with a preliminary estimate of 0.3%), and then by +0.3% (unrevised) in the first quarter of 2023.
