New twist in the battle to acquire Biogaran. The Servier group has finally given up on selling its subsidiary. The first offers were received in mid-June but do not seem to meet its expectations, according to Usine Nouvelle, confirmed to BFM Business.
The announcement was made to employees on Friday in an email cited by Usine Nouvelle.
The purchase price did not seem to be a decisive point, as some offers were said to have exceeded one billion euros. On the other hand, the generic drug laboratory evokes “political and regulatory uncertainties (which) weighed on these brands of interest”.
