Europa-Park regains its title. The amusement park located in Germany was voted “best leisure park in the world” at the Golden Ticket Awards this Sunday, September 8.
This award is granted “each year by Amusement Today magazine after a vote by a jury of experts from around the world and constitutes the most prestigious award in the world in the amusement park sector,” Europa-Park argues on its social networks.
This is the ninth title for the famous park located not far from Alsace. It has received the famous award every year from 2014 to 2022 (except in 2020, the Covid year). It was rarely dethroned last year in favour of Dollywood, a park located in Tennessee, USA, and dedicated to the singer Dolly Parton.
Reconstruction of the Austrian district after the fire of 2023
But in 2024, the German park is back on the road to success, winning two more awards. Europa Park is awarded the title of “Best New Roller Coaster in the World” for its Voltron Nevera attraction.
The jury also awarded him the “Turnstile Award” (special editor’s prize) for the reconstruction of the Austrian theme district. As a reminder, this section of the park went up in smoke in June 2023 due to a fire.
The park’s managing director said he was “honoured” to receive these awards. “This underlines our innovative strength within the Mack Group and shows that we set standards not only in Germany and Europe, but also worldwide,” said Michael Mack.
