The two ministers will undoubtedly be questioned about their approach to cleaning up public finances, with the public deficit expected to reach at least 5.6% this year.
Yesterday, Antoine Armand himself acknowledged that the situation was “serious” and that France was experiencing “one of the worst deficits in its history.” To remedy this, he has not ruled out raising taxes on the richest and on large companies.
