For some, the Christmas holidays are already beginning. At the Carrousel du Louvres, big brands and young designers come together to show off the new toys and games they’ll find under the tree.
In the shopping centre there is something for everyone, even for the largest ones.
In this section we find board games, sometimes spicy, video game consoles, but also figurines such as Darth Vader from Star Wars, considered the “ultimate figurine”.
Market at half mast
For the little ones, games pay great attention to the development of the child’s motor skills. We find a game of beads that stick together with water. The goal: to create little figures.
But also a baking kit on the theme of pastry. “It is good for children’s development to get away from screens and spend time with their families,” underlines Blanche Laming, product manager at Epoch d’Enfance.
In 2023, the market for toys and board games fell by 5.2% in value compared to 2022, reaching €4.3 billion. A slowdown attributed to the fall in purchasing power.
